exodus
The first morning coffee this monday morning in chilly Chiang Mai is to be my last, as Friday marks the exodus from Thailand after a year and a half; and the beginning of a new adventure which will take me around the world and end up back in Bangkok in about 8 months time. The usual mix of excitement and lament is present, but I seem to be used to this kind of thing by now.
A couple more articles are up in the blog page, hopefully as the India thing carries on, a similar process of chapter sampling will materialize for what is being conceived as Kusuriyubi Two, my next foray into prose. No doubt the subcontinent will have the verse-facet of my brain clicking rhythms as well, so there may be a Nakayubi Three at some point too. It's all exciting, now if I can just get someone to buy the goddamn things we'll be laughing. Incidentally, all books are available as downloadable pdfs for next to nothing, so buy one of those and print it out for the love of Seamus Fist.
The good news that has me patting the keys this morn is that November 2007 represented to highest traffic on this site since I realized I could access such information with 995 unique visitors, so big thanks to everyone who stopped by and puttered around, drop me a line sometime if you come back.
The bad news is that leaving Thailand means that Ernie Vernon will no longer be in the loop as much as before, unless of course he decides to get his arse to India in the new year, but as he is fairly ensconsed in his Thai life, we may have to liase from afar. This is a great loss, as he has helped me greatly in the conception of this site, the printing of the t-shirts and general business sense, something i desperately lack. Good on ya big Ern. I'll miss you.
love, fuzzy warblers and a happy HoHo,
dave.
